Mick and Carol DeWall founded DeWall Construction in 1953 in Tooele, Utah, with a vision of creating quality homes and providing reliable subcontracting services for larger commercial projects. Their dedication to craftsmanship and community quickly established the company as a trusted name in construction.
In 1965, the DeWalls relocated to Pocatello, Idaho, where they shifted their focus to building custom homes, tailoring each project to meet the unique needs of their clients. As the 1980s approached, DeWall Construction expanded its portfolio to include more commercial projects, growing into one of the region’s prominent commercial building contractors. The company successfully completed several multi-million dollar ventures throughout the mid to late 2000s, solidifying its reputation in the industry.
Incorporated in 1997 as DeWall Construction Company, the business has adapted to changing market demands while maintaining its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Today, DeWall Construction Company proudly balances its expertise in custom home building with ongoing commercial projects, continuing a legacy of excellence in construction.
I began my career in 1977 as a part-time general laborer, balancing work with school and weekend commitments. After graduating high school in 1982, I transitioned to full-time employment, gaining valuable experience. In 1983, I returned to part-time work to pursue my education at Idaho State University and later the University of Utah, resuming full-time work in 1986.
In 1994, I married my wife, Charlene, and welcomed her four daughters into my life, which has since expanded to include three son-in-laws and nine wonderful grandchildren, Beyond my professional and family life, I am passionate about giving back to the community. Since 2007, I have volunteered with the POW*MIA Awareness group, working to honor and raise awareness for those who have served our country and are still unaccounted for.
One of my greatest joys is riding my motorcycle, along with good friends who have become family. This has allowed me to explore the diverse landscapes and hidden gems of our country. I cherish the moments spent in the fresh air, taking in the beauty of nature. It’s not just about the destinations; it’s the thrill of the ride and the stories gathered along the way that make it truly special.
I am also a dedicated supporter of the Idaho State University Bengals football team, having held season tickets for over 25 years. Cheering on my team has become a cherished tradition, bringing together family and friends in celebration of school spirit and community.

Born and raised in the beautiful landscape of southeast Idaho, i’ve developed a deep connection to my roots. I have been a part of our family construction company since my stepdad, Greg, married my mom in 1994. I started at a young age, cleaning job sites at just 8 years old and stepping in as a laborer when needed. In 2009, I transitioned to working full-time in the industry, where I thrive on the challenges of a male-dominated field.
The work is undeniably demanding, but the sense of accomplishment and fulfillment it brings is truly rewarding. I pride myself on my meticulous attention to detail, which I believe is essential in delivering quality results. One of the aspects I enjoy most is collaborating with clients, guiding them through the building process, and helping them transform their dreams into reality.
I’m engaged to my best friend, Logan, and we’ve been together since 2020. Our connection was born from our 17 and 18-year-old sons, who have been best friends since first grade, leading our families to unite. Together, we have five kids—three of mine and two of his—creating a lively and fulfilling family life.
In my free time, I love the outdoors, whether it’s hunting, camping, spending time with family or cheering on my kids at their sports events. I’m also a passionate football fan, with a special fondness for the Green Bay Packers.
